Loathly Lady is a feminist indexing project exploring women's stories in traditional music. By identifying common female and gender narrative's in folk songs and ballads, and organising them through a feminist lens, Loathly Lady redefines the way we think about the stories of our folk songs, how we perform them, and ultimately pass them on.
It aims to be used creatively, for research, and as a place to encourage critical discussion around gender and identity in traditional music. WEBSITE
